What ceramic coating is, and what it is not.
A ceramic coating is a liquid silica-based layer that chemically bonds to paint and cures into a hard, hydrophobic shell. It does not stop rock chips. It does resist UV fade, chemical etching and the fine wash marring that dulls dark paint.
The coating is only as good as the paint under it, so every tier includes decontamination and at least a single-stage polish. We apply in controlled sections, level each one under inspection lights, then infrared cure before the car leaves the bay.

The process, step by step.
Wash and decontaminate
Bonded iron, tar and old wax come off completely so the coating bonds to bare clear coat.
Correct the finish
Machine polishing removes swirls. Whatever gloss the paint has on coating day is the gloss you keep.
Prep wipe
An IPA-based panel wipe removes polishing oils that would block the bond.
Apply and level
Small sections, cross-hatch application, timed flash and a two-towel level under inspection lights.
Infrared cure
IR lamps accelerate the cure before an overnight rest indoors, away from dew and dust.

Yes. The coating makes washing faster and safer, but dirt left sitting still bonds. A pH-neutral wash every one to two weeks keeps it performing.
Yes, and it is the best time. New cars still arrive with dealer wash marring, so we usually recommend at least a single-stage polish first.
