What paint protection film is, and what it is not.
Paint protection film (PPF) is a thermoplastic urethane layer, roughly eight times thicker than a clear coat, applied over painted panels. It is the only product we install that physically stops rock chips, sand pitting and shopping cart scuffs.
We cut every kit from a vehicle-specific pattern, then hand-trim and wrap edges on the bench where the panel geometry allows it. That keeps seams out of sight and stops the lifting you see on rushed installs. Each car is decontaminated and, where needed, polished before film goes on, because film locks in whatever is underneath it.

The process, step by step.
Inspect and measure
We log paint depth, existing chips and prior repairs panel by panel so you know exactly what the film will cover.
Decontaminate
Foam pre-wash, two-bucket contact wash, iron fallout remover and clay to leave a surface film can bond to.
Correct
A single-stage polish removes light swirls. Deeper defects are quoted separately before any film is cut.
Install
Pattern cut, slip solution, tack, squeegee and wrap. Edges are post-heated and sealed around sensors and emblems.
Cure and handover
The car stays inside for a 48-hour cure. We walk you through the panels, the warranty and the first-wash rules.

Browse all FAQsOn gloss paint, from normal viewing distance, no. Edges are wrapped where panel shape allows. Where they cannot be wrapped, the line sits about 1 mm from the panel edge and is only visible up close.
Not on factory paint in good condition. Film is designed to release cleanly with heat. Resprayed panels with poor adhesion are the exception, which is why we measure paint depth before quoting.
Most clients do. A film-rated coating makes the film easier to wash, adds water beading and resists bug and bird etching. It is optional.
You can drive it home the day we release it. Wait 7 days before the first wash and avoid pressure washing the edges for 30 days.
